The author starts a new paragraph when a new line of dialogue is spoken (from a new character), or almost when the "camera" moves like in a movie. A new paragraph also starts when attention shifts from one character to another, or when the main character is snapped out of her thoughts or memories.

The book starts out with the king of the main characters kingdom dying from the princes point of view. The prince has to complete of mystery tasks so he can properly claim his throne. The reader is left wondering what these tasks could be and how they involve Yining. This also could be the B-plot.

Since I just started this book, no subplots have been introduced yet. I know that the deal the main character struck with Jin will come back eventually, but I wonder if there will be a little romance subplot. Also the prince is mentioned in the beginning, so I wonder if Yining will ever meet the prince as part of a side plot as well.
