Positives: I can appreciate a well written slow burn; round of applause to real romance !

Side note: likable male interest, thank god.

Okay so surprisingly I'm only passively disliking this book. The writing isn't always poor as the story progresses and I enjoy the unpredictability of the plot. Despite the generic writing style and concepts, there remains an element of surprise.

A large portion of my dislike for this book is because of the outdated ideals. In other words, there are many moments in the book that are very, very annoying to read :)

Sigh, I normally trust the process while reading but there are so many components here that I dislike. From the exhausting main character, to the incomplete world building, and abysmal pacing, this book definitely is not for a seasoned audience. Everything about this book gives "seen this, done that." The tropes shown lack originality but I will keep reading to see if I'm proven wrong.

Marvy A. Okay so, comments so far: I do like that the plot is not going in a predictable direction, but I don't like how "lovey-dovey" the romance is. Miss ma'am is basically perceiving this man as if he were her oxygen. Though I know it can be a realistic interpretation to the setting, I don't approve of how love is displayed in this book.
