What is happening? Nothing. Nothing has happened at all in the first half of the book except Paloma got kicked out of her dorm for no reason. Also there is a ridiculous amount of time spent in the past but most of it is vague. Why does Bennett hate his dad? And where is his mom? What really happened between Rhys and Paloma? I may never know bc I may DNF this book.
