I think I know why. The books get soppier and soppier and this one is just waaay too soppy. The characters lose their personality they’re so caught up in the sop 😅.

Yup defs underwhelming. Gavin and Carter didn’t get enough time to develop their relationship. Too much talking. Waaay too soppy. Too much repetition.

Saw I gave this 3 stars on the first read and wondered why. Then started listening and like Kelly said, they make the same mistakes over and over again. Just makes no sense why you’d go off on your own. They go on and on about the pack being stronger together and then go and do stuff like this. Repetitive and a little infuriating. Will see if I like it better this time around.
