After TEN YEARS, and Arin still has that damn necklace Essiya/Sylvia gave him. TEN YEARS and he’s 36! Wow. I think Essiya’s going to return in the epilogue now. Finally.

“Eventually, Arin lapsed into a restless sleep. At some point, he roused to find Essiya curled beside him on the carpet, her head pillowed on his sleeve. Fast asleep again.
She’d followed him to the ground. Arin regarded the ceiling, caught between exasperation and amusement. He challenged anyone to find a more stubborn woman walking the earth... etc etc”

SO CUTE. Just imagine them in the future with no war.

YESSS ARIN AND ESSIYA ARE BACK

It’s nice that this part is at least going well😊

I love Diya and Essiya as friends, their insults are so funny. I also am very glad that Diya is awake, and I am even more glad that she and Sorn are a thing!! I can tell they will be SO good together. The interactions between them and backstory given for Diya makes me think we could get a separate book about her… it’d be a good idea I think.
