Phew. Re-aligning.
Compartmentalisation in the protagonist had me doing some of my own mental acrobats.
We’re back on track.

I’m about 3 hours in on this book but I’m finding it difficult to connect with the protagonist. I keep anticipating it, but the payoff for the tension is yet to happen and I’m starting to doubt her. The compartmentalisation is well done and maybe the slow payoff lends itself to this very thing… I’m not ready to give up yet, but given how self-gratified she is in her role right now, I’m finding it tedious.
