Action Comics #653 -
I liked the beginning! Clark was all sweet with Lois at the Planet then spent the day enjoying himself and helping regular people in Metropolis.
Unfortunately, Amanda tricks Clark into a meeting and to prove she was right, exposes him to Luthor’s Kryptonite ring!
Amanda then freaks out and throws the ring in a gutter. Before she’s approached by unsavories… And is dragged into an alley!

Dr Moon, a Bats villain, has been hired to ‘reconstruct’ Cat Grant’s brain!
Luckily, Shockwave told the heroic duo where they were hiding and they got there in the nick of time.
Well, it was Gangbuster who went straight to Cat.
Afterwards, Batman and Superman meet in Amanda’s apartment and the truth is told.
Bats earns Supes’ trust and back in Gotham, gives the dark knight the K ring!

A shame we didn’t see how Bats figured out who Supes was!
Anyway, Batman’s in Metropolis! And Superman is NOT happy about it.
Bats somehow has a reconstruction of poor Amanda’s face. They make an educated leap and…
The pair find themselves breaking into Lexcorp!
Later, Intergang crashes a banquet and Supes knows Lex doesn’t know his secret.
Oh and Cat has been kidnapped!

In Gotham, Batman stops a thief targeting homeless people. Sadly, the victim dies but Bats does find an unusual ring…
Lex finally discovers his precious ring is missing. He’s NOT happy!
After analysing, Bats has quite a few questions and decides to go to Metropolis.
Clark and Lois have a dinner date (cute).

A more tragic tale of four astronauts being irrevocably changed due to radiation and solar flares!
We also learn Alice is quite mad at Clark for ‘betraying’ Perry. Even though it wasn’t Clark. Not really at least.
And Cat’s ex husband has hired Josè to be her bodyguard!
The reason I read this, to see Clark take a big step in his relationship with Lois. (They kiss!)

Rare vampire story! At least rare for me. I don’t avoid reading them but in my head, super heroes are a separate thing.
Anyway, Batman follows a trail from Gotham to a small (Southern?) town.
Interestingly, he realises he needs help and he calls… Clark!
Only to ask him to send a message to Superman.
In the end, Bats saves Supes! And makes sure there’ll be no more vamps rising…
