This book is emotionally complicated in a cathartic way. Probably objectively sad but I’ve been extra sad lately so it just feels like good bad. Really here for this complicated relationship, complicated country, complicated life. Also love the oscillating POVs between Joseph and lucy within the same chapters

Picked up the top of my nightstand pile … but also now I’m 2 for 2 on current reads where the main characters name is lucy… if I had a nickel for every time this happened I’d have 2 nickels. Weird that it happened twice back to back. This lucy seems quite sad so far as a divorce should be I guess
