Sadly, the hedge witch situation is becoming annoying to me now. Idk how you write her name, since I'm listening to it, but the whole Gina / Jinna (?) is cool with casual sex / is not cool with casual sex, actually, and now she's jealous of Fitz hugging someone to comfort her is yeah, authentic to life, but also too been there / done that.

Why yes, I was wondering that Fitz left his house and his writings and like how is that safe? Also, amazing how much I love Fitz now, I relate to his world-weariness and general exhaustion.
And the thing about the Fitz and the Fool connection is that I have space to be happy that he has a burgeoning little relationship with the nice hedge witch! It feels adult and messy and complicated.

I was waiting for this since your last update hahaha yeah it's not good. And not just what you mentioned - it's the reason she wants sex with him to begin with...

Yeah, I don't think I know that yet?? But also, the kind of undercurrent in this is that casual sex is bad and women catch feelings and Fitz was right in considering it wrong. When before I thought the subtext was: Fitz is also a bit silly on casual sex, but this woman is empowered and chill and knows what she wants 😬😬 was enjoying the Fitz silliness, but not as much anymore. Oh well, a lot of other great things in this book still!

It's been a while since I read the books, but I believe it's only ever implied. Fitz' relationships make me sad 😭 my boy can't catch a break (couldn't they have lived the rest of their lives at cabin? 😭)
