I’ll finish this book because I’m curious about why everyone likes it so much. I’m just not buying the romance, and I don’t think the FMC’s reasons for doing almost anything in this book are convincing enough to justify how far she goes.
There’s also something about the way Blackness is discussed that feels… off. If I had to describe it, it reads a bit whiny (thoughts not fully formed, will revert)

I’m going to finish this book because I’m curious enough about why everyone likes it so much. I’m just not buying the romance, and idk I think the FMCs reason for doing literally anything in this book is never convincing enough for why she went that far.
There’s also a way blackness is talked about that gives “whiny” if nothing else.

Everything is moving pretty fast honestly. Like I find her story slightly unbelievable because there's just no thinking on the main characters part. But maybe the problem is just that I'm an adult and she's a teenager cos this is some sh*t for sure.
