A lot happening. And it seems even Leopold has regrets. But those who were or are angry with him have every right to be. So many have been lost, but some have been saved yet still. Vivia is the rat who never drowns, Aeduan and Merik have faced death and come back, and many others still fight strong. But what will be the fate of the Witchlands?

Things have indeed gone wrong. And despite being a Paladin, Stix is now on a leash. And Leopold deserved to be roasted by Iseult for all that he had done! And Merik still has his abilities. Well, sort of. There's a lot happening here. But is Aeduan truly gone?

That was a lot to take in. Apparently Kahina is also a Paladin. A paladin of fire, and she wanted to stop Safi from healing the well. But in the end, Safi realizes her agreement isn't so binding. And Aeduan actually did what he had to do. Even if he didn't like it. Man Iseult has been put through the wringer. Really both of the Cahr Awen have. But what does this vision of the Monster have to do with the Well healing?

King Ragnor's question gives me pause. But he can't really be right about the Origin Wells... can he? And can Safi be the leader her friends and allies need? Will Ryber still be needed now that she is no longer the last of her kind? So many questions, so few answers...

Iseult is making a risky move now that she's separated from her friends. But if it works, it will make the path to the air well a lot easier. And then there's Aeduan who seems to have somehow stirred the ice enough to wake those trapped inside, and Safi working with Merik. Oh yeah, it's all coming together.

So it's the Air Well in Poznin that still needs to be healed. And of course it's guarded by the Raider King and his many forces, likely aware that Safi, Iseult and Aeduan are approaching. And Safi is trying to downplay her own pain and condition. How long until Iseult realizes the truth?

I don't remember Safi's magic screaming at her when she lies, or being kind when she speaks the truth. Then again, she didn't have her powers for most of the last book, so there's that. Or her soul being weighed down with others. Still, at least Evrane is trying to help as best as she can. And Caden is in a safe place. And it seems Alma is alive and well...

Huh. I'm surprised we haven't heard directly from Safi or Iseult yet. And Vaness is understandably grumpy, but Vivia's right, sitting around I'll just get you nowhere. I thought Aeduan was cured though. Both from his wounds, and from his past life trying to possess him. Still, I'm enjoying this so far!

Aeduan is as savage as ever. And those mock names for the two brothers were hilarious! He is definitely still the anti-heroine I know and love. But Merik is not having a good time. Hopefully Aurora can help him out. Also, I wish the maps specified which Origin Well had their respective element identified and if they're healed, because I can't remember which ones have been healed or what their elements are.
