One of the things I enjoy about this series so far is that O’Brien loves to meander through various plots and shenanigans and generally chase whatever stray bit of history or nature or 18th century lore he can find. These are anything but tight little dramas that would neatly fit in the world of television and movies.

And then the last chapter is always a tension filled, cinematic masterpiece. Huzzah.
