Listening to the audiobook, was a little thrown off by the British narrator at first just because it’s based in New York. Minor issue of getting a setting in my head. Overall am liking the concept so far, and just got introduced to a bit of mystery. Interested in finding out more about why these magic books exist, why Cassie’s life is in danger, and why she was chosen to be gifted this book.

I’m actually thoroughly enjoying the adventure of this book! The pace starts picking up quite a bit, and you start trying to piece together little bits of information and theorize how this is going to end. Cassie gets stuck in the past with no way out - and honestly anything to do with effects of time travel I love. Just a fascinating topic to explore in my opinion. Still not getting some of the hate 🤔
