Knew this was not going to be one of his good ones bc his uppercrust British officials are in 90’s Africa and this POV doesn’t really age well/ feels pretty contrived. It’s also not as fun as the Cold War stuff. Anyway, I inherited a box of LeCarre’s C list stuff and I’ll probably read most of it just because it’s here.
