idk, I'll rip my heart out.

Am sick of everything going to plan and only minor inconveniences, and I know that this author has it in her to do better plot twists.

I don't want to, but I'm persisting. I don't trust myself to begin something simultaneously.

Technically, you can't really speed-read this series or read them in one sitting. There aren't feelings to analyse, but some information needs to sit with you. This isn't like The Artefacts of Ouranos, where you could just guess the ending (seeing as this quartet is also more NA than YA in form).

“Zarya,” he said, his voice filled with an authority that reminded her he was used to commanding an army of thousands. “Sit.”
Her legs melted out from under her as she collapsed onto the rock.
Dammit. How did he do that?
He surprised her by dropping to his knees.
“I wasn’t done apologizing,” he said. “In fact, I’d barely started.”

“I want to kiss you,” he said. “Tell me you want it, too.”
“Absolutely not.”
The smile on his face spread into a feral grin.
“Is that how it’s going to be, Spitfire?”

Crossing her arms, she leaned back in her chair, staring at Rabin. He was now intensely interested in his food, mopping a piece of roti through a pool of gravy over and over again like he was trying to punish it for existing in his presence.
“I think it’s got enough sauce on it,” Zarya said, arching her neck to peer at his plate and squinting like she was having trouble seeing it.

A pet peeve of mine is when people don't try to plan ahead and don't think about possible consequences.

This is a nice Fantasy series.
There was a part in the beginning that I didn't like (will explain when I finish reading in the review).

So far, it's good, but I believe it could be better with some included anxiety and anticipation of events.

My two cents, anyway.
