Ok so I managed to find a used copy on eBay for not more than I would have paid for a hardback on Amazon if Duskbound were still in print. So I’m resuming this book and hopefully the book i ordered gets to me quickly and is in decent shape 😅

Hoo boy. I know I’d been warned this book was rough. That definitely sums it up. I’ve taken to skimming at this point and I’m not missing much….it took 3 pages to describe their approach to a house and knocking on its door. I’ve been assured it’s worth it to get through this book.

The writing style comes across as a bit juvenile and some things are awkward and don’t flow well. I have read that this author improves drastically over time and that it is worth it to read this book before reading Alchemised, so here we are.
