This is hard to get through... It's infuriating and sad that this is the world we live in. I feel utterly naïve for not knowing about some of this stuff or the extent of them.

Have you seen Bates's "Everyday Sexism" site, Lyn? It's so hard to read that I had to stop--although I'm grateful it exists, and tons of people NEED to see it! I still can't understand why sexism continues to run rampant except that toxic masculinity does, and sexism is a core TM tenet. (On that note, if you like this book, I highly recommend For the Love of Men by Liz Plank. She makes the connection so clear. Maybe don't read it right after this one, though!)
