I hated this within the first few minutes. They immediately meet the. make out — on 9/11, no less. That alone felt wildly tone-deaf.

The whole book read like a bad high school creative writing assignment trying to sound deep by throwing in random sex scenes. One moment they’re sitting on the couch, the next there’s awkward, basic intimacy out of nowhere. It felt juvenile and emotionally shallow.
