It’s getting really good. The most impressive thing is that I don’t get annoyed at the characters and the multiple POVs. Usually I don’t like those because there is always at least one character I don’t care about and don’t want to read about. But the chapters of the “villains” are short and not boring to read. Great writing.

“He could play games like this without fear of repercussions. Because that was precisely how it went - men paid with a rap on the knuckles, while women paid with their lives.”

So it’s definitely better than the first one already cause you don’t have to go through the world building and the magic is a topic now. But I don’t know. I’m not excited to read after work. As soon as I start reading it’s good but I’m not really rushing home to read this book…mhhh
