Ernest is providing a visceral, honest, shifting perspective about the realites of revolution.
People are emotional, volatile, valuable, and constantly creating problems, but it takes the effort of them all to make a difference.

It’s interesting to watch his own internal dialogue shift on particular issues such as the necessity of killing and the corruption of his own leadership as they combat the fascist regime.

Revolutions are ugly. i want to throw up. this is masterful.
