The other is ferociously manipulative toward Piranesi. Given how intelligent he is, it’s frustrating how he cannot comprehend the basic level that he is being manipulated at. Earlier in the book, Piranesi finds a note, presumably from the other & someone else who lived before him. The other was making sure he ate his multivitamins. I’m assuming those are drugs as Piranesi takes the same ones.
