I do however like the dichotomy of Soviet workers somehow being both overworked to death (via western sources) and also surprisingly lazy (via Parenti).

This book reminded me of why I love reading. Most of the early topics are relatively simple and (hopefully) common knowledge. Regardless, the extent to which, for example, fascism aids capital is disturbing.
