the second book had a tangential style of writing which was super cool but it made me feel insane and i lowkey skimmed it oops
the woman destroyed - i only just started it but i appreciate the world building of the author. the way she writes diary entries is so natural, it feels like a true excerpt. for example she doesn’t say stuff like “my husband, maurice” as if she’s introducing him for the first time

this lady is so upset that she can’t create anything new and she attributes it to being old. i think it’s because she thinks she already knows it all and is under the impression that there is nothing new to learn.

also, i think she captures how earth shattering finding out about an affair is very well. and how unfair it is that women have to swallow their pride and act chill so their husband can take them back. im very angry reading this
