It took a bit to get into but really liking it now. A lot of people don’t seem to like the child narrator but I think it fits the story well. I’ll need to have a look at her other books cos I’d like to read something else by her.

Ah ok, Jolly’s work is a bit like that I think. Glad you’re getting on with it I added it to my to read shelf the minute I heard about it. If you try Mary Ann, be aware there’s no punctuation in it and that took a bit of getting to grips with, but well worth the effort because it’s a great read. Hope you continue to enjoy it.
