This book is incredible so far. I am loving this historical recounting of just the name and societal perception of Tuberculosis disease. The fact that it was once ROMANTICIZED by Europeans and Americans is insane! And once Koch identified the bacterium, which helped us better understand its mode of transmission and how to better control it, it then became a disease that mostly inflicted poorer populations. Crazy.
