So far, I understand why others think this books is poorly constructed and confusing.

Stories begin and have no proper end; anecdotes do not connect with the point trying to be made; and the overall experience of surfing isn’t properly described so far.

If I weren’t a surfer I’d have already put this book down. I’m aiming to finish it though, so I will see if it improves as time goes on.
