I can't stand David Horowitz's cringe Fox News style of politics but this book is actually a really insightful look at the New Left and some of things that they got wrong. Biographies of lapsed revolutionaries are normally full of spite and gossip, and this is no exception, but if you bypass the brainrot there are gems in here and some funny gossipy stories...

People like Horowitz scare me. Will I wake up one day convinced that progressive nonprofits are part of a communist plot to destroy the world? Probably not, probably i'll fixate on something much dumber, but he's proof that it's possible

I think with Horowitz it's interesting. His disagreement with the Left doesn't seem to be about policy or anything substantive. He saw someone get murdered and it scared the shit out of him and made him go insane. Normal people don't do 180°s unless their paid or experience something crazy. So unless you get the call or start thinking the TV is talking to you I think you're good
