Checking out. It’s just not my thing; instant obsessive MC aside, the FMC literally has no emotional scope (compelling enough for me) outside of her ambivalence towards death, both endlessly fascinating and disturbing for her, which doesn’t translate into a solid characterisation I want to get to know more. Having read other reviews, it seems like the book doesn’t live up to its premise.
