SoS 5:13 - His cheeks are like beds of spices, mounds of sweet-smelling herbs.
'If I may not see the whole of His face, I would behold His cheeks, for the least glimpse of Him is exceedingly refreshing... When He is with me it is May all year round, and my soul goes forth to wash its happy face in the morning dew of His grace and to solace herself with the singing of the birds of His promises.'

"Lord, end my winter, and let my spring begin. I cannot with all my longings raise my soul out of her death and dullness, but all things are possible with You. I need heavenly influences, the clear shining of Your love, beams of Your grace, the light of Your countenance - these are as summer suns to me. I suffer from sin and temptation; these are my terrible wintry signs. Lord, work wonders in me, and for me."

The fact that the update indicates how far we are into 2026... 19%? I don't like this haha! Love the devotions but don't like how fast the year is going lol!

These devotions have been a balm through two very difficult months and I can’t wait to continue reading them through the rest of 2026! They’re so rich and based in scripture, encouraging without superficiality.

These first several days of January have been so beautiful thanks to these daily morning and evening devotions… so much wisdom and urging to seek the Lord!

‘… there was no longer manna for the people of Israel, but they ate of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.’ (Joshua 5:12)… “We will this year gather celestial fruits on earthly ground, where faith and hope have made the desert like the garden of the Lord. Man ate angels’ food of old, why not now? O for grace to feed on Jesus and so to eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan this year!” AMEN
