Okay- I do remember that scene from the film. One of my favorites- tons of symbolism of the death of the hippie culture- and also the most reprehensible thing the characters have done so far- that poor maid Oop.

I haven’t seen the movie in so long that I completely forgot what happens from here on out! One more chapter and I’ll probably head to bed for the night!

Wow- that chapter and ending was really powerful. Very symbolic and beautiful in a way. RIP to the hippie American dream.

I think that chapter was never in the movie! Cool to see some book-original scenes!

I still can’t believe how close the movie followed this whole book!
