One more chapter. I don’t know if I’m ready for this book to end. This particular chapter was about mortality. I don’t think I’m ready for Al Pacino to end. “You don’t have to miss me, just remember me.” I hope I get the chance to meet him while he’s still with us on this earth.

This chapter spoiled the godfather 3 for me but I don’t mind. Those last two pages gave me goosebumps. The image of Al Pacino alone on his private jet mere hours after being on the stage, accepting his first Oscar after 7 nominations and losses. Just him and his statuette in solitude on the plane. The image of that is beautiful. I almost want to write it in screenplay format. Cheers, Al. Hope to meet you some day.

Interesting that the supposed story of Al skipping The Godfather Oscars because he felt he should’ve been nominated for best actor, not best SUPPORTING actor, was a myth he just recently learned of. Either that or he’s lying. But I guess that’s how he wants to be remembered anyway. Love the guy.
