Im so sad. Michael killed carrie and it feels like you don’t want to hate him you don’t want to blame him but whether he knew it or not he still killed her. What can you do? If schizophrenia is biological, was this always going to be the outcome? No right? But how can a modern day Michael be accommodated the same way someone with Down syndrome or a physical handicap is, to live a close to normal life?

I understand the pacing. I lose interest in the few pages Rosen gives detail about the development of public consensus regarding mental illness and those who were mentally ill in the 1970s because of all the new names and small (seemingly) irrelevant details provided. But you appreciate them when the story rails back to Jonathan and Michael of course. It can feel depressing and I can’t imagine the reality of .
