Such clear and linear writing style! Many beautiful English words that are no longer used; so sad that these mannerly phrases and adjectives have been lost. Kirstie Drummond and the Countess have more than just the "high spirits" that these matrimony tales of mid 19th century U.K more usually contain. ENJOYABLE and inquisitive both!
