unfortunately this is becoming quite a frustrating read. idk if the editor was asleep at the wheel but chock full of repetitive information, anecdotes that repeat the same themes, even repeated stats. clumsy and not whole discussion of systemic barriers introduced from the beginning. most frustratingly- a sincere lack of focus on material and racial barriers. also generalisations for both east and west

admittedly a fair bit of repetition and the interweaving of all the topics don’t feel as evenly split as they could be but so impossibly amazing at how well the author is conveying the depth of what is an incredibly complex matter. just rlly rlly exceptional props. overwhelming to imagine the amount of work that went into this.
