Chapter 52 - A year in Golden.

Chapter 48 - I reallyyyyyy don’t like Pearce. Very distasteful man.

I was finding the book to become a bit lull and repetitive, but the thanksgiving scene was sweet. I like how all these side stories are merging into one - when worlds collide

I love how everyone’s stories are starting to become intertwined.

Chapter 41, Kendrick is another good soul. He is one that can put aside any anger and see reason

One line that really spoke to me in Chapter 40, page 248, was, “a meal, a book, and a nap seemed like the perfect trifecta for the afternoon.”

Basically sums up my perfect day

Chapter 34, page 208: “Do good, but try to do it without notice or hope of reward. “

Chapter 33 - the influence that family’s love and support can have on the trajectory of one’s career is so important. Simone was fortunate to have his grandmother’s unconditional support, in life and death. Simone had a beautiful story to tell.

“Play for the angels”

Chapter 31 - to listen with no judgement.

Ch. 30, Theo recalls his childhood in Portugal. He talks of a river that flowed through his hometown and wonders if the same water has made its way to Golden.

“Was there, after all, only one big river that flowed across the earth?” I think this idea of one river eludes to us all being connected. This theme seems to presents itself throughout the book, whether it’s a river or an invisible string of kind acts.
