Took me a few reads to get through The Library of Babel. It reads more like an essay on combinatorics and the limits of human comprehension than a short story. It made me think of AI chatbots more times than I would like to admit. Borges' misuse and abuse of mathematical concepts, like infinity, annoyed me before I realized he was describing human experience and not the world.

El mundo puede comprenderse, sin alterar mas que la percepción, como un resultado de las hechuras la Companía. La lotería de Babilonia se lee como una maraña de ideas adyacentes y disparatadas... o tal vez Borges se refería a personas como yo al decir que no todos comprenden. Me gusta el español afrancesado de Borges.
