no bc if the roles were reversed i promise you it would not have been played for laughs like that 🫩 i can’t really tell if the author wants us to take the book as parody or not but regardless that probably would have been a DNF point for me had this not been a book club read. i mean he’s insufferable and if i have to spend half the book in his head i might need a grippy sock vacay but come on…
