So far? Rough. Like, the premise is interesting, the writing is great (which, of course. It's Octavia Butler) but good god there are some horrific things in this book. Namely the main character, who is physically a preteen but mentally much older, being in a sexual relationship with a GROWN MAN.
I'm trusting the process, but God damn.
