I consider this lecture one of the greatest pieces of the mexican current of magical realism. The gentle touch of realism with the time jumps is confusing on a first reading, but it allows you to speculate about the characters and the life of the town, the stories of each of the members of Comala. Rereading opens these doors to understanding the town that was built.
