Reading The Old Man and the Sea - 2nd Day
They gathered their stuff from the boat and left for the old man's shack. It was made of the bud-shields of the royal palm. The old man had gone eighty-four days without taking a fish. There was a boy fishing with him. But after forty days, his father told him not to go fishing with the old man. Said he was salao. After they met on the bank one day, they went drinking on the terrace. The old man talked about their first fishing together, and he would go far out to fish tomorrow.
