Ah, gender essentialism. You couldn’t possibly decorate for a baby if you don’t know what gender it is.

Sarah is a shit friend, actually. (I say this mostly because of how she reacted to everyone not sharing things with her in this book, then does the same thing to her friends in the next book.)

There’s this ongoing theme of "Sarah has the right to know everything in her friends' lives!" that’s really rubbing me the wrong way.

This book is going to be a bit of a journey. So far, we have a secretly gay husband (which, okay, this happens), a duplicitous bisexual dude whose last relationship ended because he never told the woman he was with he was bi (he’s the love interest of the husband, who the heroine of the tale caught in the shower with her husband), and now we’ve got a gay friend from college—who’s shredded and runs a hair salon.
