Bummed to hear that. What did you read before it? Sometimes I think when I read two either totally different books back to back, or fairly similar books back to back it screws up my opinion of them.

Yeah, it was the Guernsey Literary book. It was excellent but also about WWII. Maybe I'm burned out with WWII.
Yeah, that could play into it. I read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and The Wedding Officer A Novel of Culinary Seduction back to back and they're both WWII books. Enjoyed both, but got a bit burned out with WWII as well.
