While I do appreciate the progression of Harker and Eve’s relationship, could this almost-kiss have occurred when Daz was not operating on Martindale’s fatal injuries? Harker only seems to remember what is occurring when he wakes up and Banks interrupts their intimate moment.

Such a shame about all this inconsistent, dystopian world-building. So, the Americas were never colonised by the Europeans and the continent retained its lanaguage, and yet Manhattan is still full of skyscrapers and crowded living? The British Empire doesn’t exist but the monarchy is still existing and did not fall? The Beatles don’t exist but Beethoven and Bach and other composers all wrote their symphonies?

So Les Mis doesn’t exist, on account of the French Empire being the powerhouse of the world, as opposed to the British, but Dracula somehow does exist? With the same plot points occurring in the story?

How far back do the historical differences go? Would Eve and Harker even be capable of understanding each other? Did the Normans invade and inject a French influence into the English language? The Diana part also makes little sense. Not only in a descendants sort of way.
