Really made me chuckle. And though I didn't like this book that much, I did laugh a lot, which usually doesn't happen.

Gods I'm exhausted, why add a second female POV and then make her only obsess with a guy?? Sexism just permeates everything here. I get what he's doing with this, but it's very unpleasant to read. However, sunk cost fallacy and curiosity will take me to the finish line.

They must have really loved Starsky and Hutch in Jamaica circa the 70s, cause it's been mentioned at least 20 times so far.

So far while reading I've lightly researched: Jamaican Patois swear words, the PNP, the presence of Syrian, Lebanese and Palestinian people in Jamaica and also some bits about Bob Marley's lyrics!

I will say I'm okay with the writing (liking it), what I do have a problem with is that all the POV characters are sexist af and one woman POV is a lady waiting in front of the house of a guy she fucked and ruminating on that 🥲 also, a lot of the men use the insult 'pussy hole'. My emotional investment is not a lot at this point.
