Enter Poirot. Now we are in the interview format of a Christie mystery: all witnesses and suspects come in and talk to Poirot and he arrives at the truths of all of the mysteries surrounding the murder. It’s a little dry in action but it’s where Christie’s character writing shines.

Umm I was thinking that Gerard was Poirot but it was a pretty good feint on Christie’s part. Also I have NO idea what is up with Jinny. She claims that she’s a royal who is being held captive in the family?? What is going ON here?? All I know is, when the pieces of this one sift out, it’s gonna be a total mess. Also I have no idea how the Lennox - Nadine - Cope triad winds up, but my first guess is Cope.

An emotionally abusive American widow and her browbeaten, decaying children catch the eye of one Sarah King and one Dr. Gerard, who I believe is Hercule Poirot under an assumed alias. Gerard is a real known person, however. Mrs. Boynton is a vile old turtle, having crippled her eldest son and encouraging a relationship with his wife and her ex in order to peel her off from the family.
