When a chapter starts off with a character gazing off into the sunset, you already know those deep thoughts are about to come out. Ahab goes hard in Chapter 37. “Swerve me? ye cannot serve me,…” is like saying "who go’n check me boo?” or “King Kong don't got nothing on me!” If you know the reference, you know the reference. Is Melville writing to his haters? I’m curious. Hmmm? Great read so far.
