Gripping as ever, so hooked. My only problem is the use of "cooked", which has happened twice now. First time I let it pass me but the second one took me right out of the story for a few seconds. Not Bardugo's fault at all tho, she couldn't have known what turn the usage of the expression would take in the 2020s
