When I was at university, I studied The Magus and I declared it a favourite. I have to reread it, because this one is quickly stealing the title. How delightful this book is(I'm not a psycho, I swear). It's compelling and creepy in both unsettling and provocative ways..the narrative beats you down and manipulates you almost ironically - so deliciously contradictory(gotta love postmodern writing, though not always).
