Interesting stories of women who lead hard lives.

Interesting so far. A biography of both the housekeepers and their employers. The author tries to imagine what these main characters are feeling, mixing their imagined feelings with facts. I find this somewhat distracting. Some of the stories are a bit long. Will continue with the book, however as I’m enjoying it.
