I previously read Lady Elect by this author, and it briefly mentioned this character in the story. Therefore, I am now reading this story that started off a bit stronger in the first chapter...which also Amaryllis suffered a train-wreck of menage (rape) but she was paid greatly and her mother collected her due. A rape scene also happened in Lady Elect. I wonder if author has experienced such a thing.
